Escholzia californica is a tender perennial up to 18" tall that self-seeds. Colors in the warm to hot range add spot color in the natural garden.
Gaillardia pulchella is a native American flower, known as Indian blanket, reminiscent of the strong primary colors reflected in the natural southwestern palette.
Hemerocallis can grow to various heights, up to 36". It offers long bloom seasons.
Inula helenium. Perennial 6-8’ tall once used for medicinal but naturalized in US and is background for herb or wild garden.
